In this guide

The best blank for your custom T-shirt is the one that matches the fit you want and the artwork you plan to print. This guide compares seven tees listed in the sixplanets catalog, with a direct product link for each. You can order one shirt, build a mixed-size order, or ask our Frisco studio for help with a larger project.

Our garment prices include one full-color DTF print. Additional print locations cost extra. Open a product page to check its current price, colors and size choices.

Compare seven T-shirts from our catalog

Start with the silhouette. A regular-fit shirt and a boxy, dropped-shoulder shirt will give the same graphic a different setting. Fabric weight is a separate decision: heavier does not automatically mean a wider cut.

Fabric blends can change with the color. Check the exact color you select, especially heathers and marles. Available colors and sizes can change, so use the current product page when preparing your order.

Which fit should you start with?

AS Colour 5001 Staple Tee: a regular-fit starting point

The Staple is a useful first comparison when you want a regular silhouette. AS Colour lists combed cotton and a midweight construction. Check its body width and length against a shirt you already like before deciding how wide to make your graphic.

Start here for a personal design, everyday creator merch or company shirts when you want a regular fit. See the Staple Tee and its current price.

Gildan 5000 Heavy Cotton Tee: a classic cut

The Gildan 5000 uses a classic fit. Its solid colors are cotton; Sport Grey and other specialty colors can use blends. Compare the fit and your selected color before planning an event or team order.

Start here when a classic silhouette is the brief. Compare its current printed price with the other options instead of assuming that a brand name sets your budget. Customize the Gildan 5000.

AS Colour 5051 Basic Tee: a lighter regular-fit option

The Basic uses carded cotton and a regular cut. AS Colour lists a lighter fabric than the Staple, Classic and Heavy styles in this comparison. Consider it when you prefer a lighter shirt while keeping a regular silhouette.

Check its color and body measurements, then preview small lettering at your intended print size. Explore the Basic Tee.

AS Colour 5026 Classic Tee: heavier fabric with a regular fit

The Classic is listed as a regular-fit tee with heavyweight combed cotton. It offers a different fabric choice from the midweight Staple without asking you to choose the boxy, dropped-shoulder cut of the Heavy range.

Compare the Classic with the Staple when you want to keep a regular silhouette and decide how much fabric weight you prefer. See the Classic Tee.

AS Colour 5080 Heavy Tee: boxy proportions and dropped shoulders

The Heavy has a boxy, relaxed shape, dropped shoulders and heavyweight carded cotton. Those proportions are the reason to consider it for a roomier merch design, rather than assuming that sizing up a regular tee creates the same result.

Use the selected size measurements to judge the shirt and artwork together. A wide wordmark and a small chest mark make different use of that silhouette. Build a design on the Heavy Tee.

AS Colour 5082 Heavy Faded Tee: a garment-dyed background

The Heavy Faded combines a boxy, relaxed fit with garment-dyed carded cotton. Choose it when the faded garment color is part of your design brief. The background you print on matters as much as the color of the artwork.

Check lettering and contrast on the actual garment color in the preview, then confirm the final proof. The faded finish is a garment choice, not a promise that printed artwork will have a distressed effect. Choose a Heavy Faded Tee.

Original Favorites Heavyweight Organic Tee: relaxed organic cotton

This tee is listed with a relaxed fit and heavyweight ringspun organic cotton. Original Favorites describes its fabric as 240 GSM. Compare the measurements with the AS Colour Heavy if you want a relaxed shirt and are deciding between different garment constructions.

Choose it for its listed garment characteristics. Compare its fabric, measurements and current printed price to decide whether it suits your design. Explore the Heavyweight Organic Tee.

What does the custom shirt price include?

The prices on our product pages cover the garment and one full-color DTF print. Adding more print locations changes the total. Select the garment, print locations and quantities to review the price for your actual design.

There is no minimum order. Order one shirt if that is what you need, or build a size breakdown for people who will wear the same design. Shipping, tax and applicable discounts are confirmed in checkout.

Prepare the artwork and sizes before ordering

  1. Choose the garment and color. Compare the measurements with a shirt you like. For a group order, ask wearers to check the selected garment rather than copying sizes from another brand.
  2. Create the design. Add your own artwork, combine text and shapes, or customize a template. Keep small lettering readable at the intended print size.
  3. Enter the quantities. The full design studio supports a quantity for each size for one design. Keep the individual name-and-size list you use for distribution separately.
  4. Review the order. Check the wording, sides, placement and size totals. The online preview helps you arrange the design; our studio confirms the production proof before printing.

For individual names, different artwork on each shirt, uncertain file requirements or help planning a larger project, request a project quote. Share the garment, estimated quantity, artwork and deadline.

Common questions before you choose a tee

Can I order one custom printed shirt?

Yes. There is no minimum order. Choose the garment and design for that one shirt, then review the order before checkout. The same proof approval and production process applies.

Does heavyweight mean oversized?

No. Fabric weight and fit describe different things. The Classic is a heavier regular-fit option; the Heavy has a boxy, relaxed cut. Check measurements and the fit description separately.

Can my team mix sizes in one design?

Yes. Use the full studio to enter quantities by size for the selected garment and design. If you need individual names or different artwork, tell us what varies in a project quote.

Can I return a shirt if I change my mind?

Every piece is printed to order, so we cannot take returns for preference or change of mind. If an order arrives damaged or with a print defect, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will reprint or replace it. Read the returns policy before ordering.
